This is my first try of SolidWorks, I first watched Chris' tutorial video for making a toolbox in SW and then tried myself. Very powerful software. The first toolbox I made was first drawn in AutoCAD, then imported into Rhino for modelling and finally rendered in 3ds max. The problem is that considering the several times of data transfer and different softwares, the final product is not accurate enough. SW provides a comprehensive platform to do all these works.
Wei, Good to see you using Solidworks to express the Toolbox. Using this is not part of the CAT programme, but you are most welcome to use and learn it.Have a go if you wish and try and turn the 3D model into a drawing. Easy in Solidworks. you can also then save as a PDF.
Cheers
